Anytime you shop online (or instore), you should look out for promo codes. Last week, I found hollisterco promo code for 20% off. I know right, they never have coupon codes since they don't have a box for the code....well, they did and it worked. Oh sorry, getting away from the subject of makeup. So when you shop for makeup, you should also look for promo codes. The best place that I like to start is google. Just type in the brand + promo code. Most likely, you will end up on retailmenot.com.

Lauren Luke, if you haven't heard of the name before, you will soon. You may also know her as Panacea81 from YouTube. Her channel has received 5,696,681 so far and she has over 200,000 subscribers. Her new makeup line called "By Lauren Luke" should be launching today April 27th, 2009.

I'm sure a lot of people do wonder... When do I need to toss out my makeup? Sometimes it seem like I have some stuff that's been here forever. OK, maybe not forever, but a long time. I sometimes just don't go through them or just don't want to toss them. It's not like they look old or that they smell..right? Well, I guess that can be true, but you don't want to risk bacteria..the really really micro type that you don't see being there and then applying it to your face, eyes or lips.

When I decided to order the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner, I didn't know what color to pick. I wanted something not too dramatic, so not black or too dark. I found some swatches online and the Sepia Ink looked like a nice brown. Still on the darker side, but seem like most of the Long Wear Gel Liners were on the darker side.

When I was ordering there was the newest color Black Mauve which in the Bobbi Brown site, it looked lighter than Sepia Ink. When I received the two. They basically looked like the SAME COLOR!! Except that the Black Mauve had some shimmer in it.

I purchased the set from Anastasia.net before and I believe it was the 5-Element Brow Kit. I tried the Stencils and in my opinion, stencils in general are a bit hard to use. I think this is because I have thicker brow. If I thin them a lot and make them the almost "not there" look, then the brow stencils might easier to use. It also create a harsher brow than if I were to freehand.

I have tried 3 different brushes for gel liner application. Two of them are MAC Holiday SEs and the other I just thought I pick up to test was the Sonia Kashuk angle brush. The gel liner I use is the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner.

With the smallest angel brush from MAC, the 208 Angle Brow Brush, it still creates a rather thick line and since the brush is on the hard side, to me it's not as flexible. I like to tightline the top, so a softer brush seem to work better for me.
